How it works
A small wire, approved for underground burial, is run around the perimeter of your yard usually buried 3"-5" beneath the surface. This wire is connected to a small control unit (the transmitter), which sends a radio signal through the buried wire.
You pet wears a special computerized receiver collar. If your pet gets close to the wire, the collar beeps and/or administers a brief "training pulse." In just a short time, your dog learns to respect the boundaries that you establish for your pet. When properly trained a dog will almost always obey just the audible beep and not require the correction. Although they'll test it from time to time.
